World News in Clayton and Westport is being sold by the Selvidge clan to a family relative. The late founder, Roberta Selvidge had three chldren who still work there. . . The Monsanto Fund has just doled out $150,000 to support our Symphony’s IN UNISON program, which is designed to provide music-related resources to area churches and increasing community access to Powell Hall. IN UNISON reaches more than 20,000 people here in more than 40 churches. . . Philanthopist Sanford “Sandy” McDonnell, former chairman of the board of McDonnell Douglas Corp., is much too ill. . . The FBISTLCAA will hold “pictures with Santa” on Saturday at Arts Collective, 3301 Meramec Ave., where they hope to combine the event with its Child ID program. Steven Jackson, in addition to hosting Saturday’s Motion for Kids Holiday Party, which will serve a record number of 3,600, is adopting 39 local families to ensure a happy holiday season as part of the SJ39 Foundation’s 39 wishes. Oshlomogho Atogwee is donating $5,000 to Santa’s Helpers, a local non-profit, that supplies holiday gifts to families and refugees and elderly in need. OJ is also helping Santa’s Helpers to deliver the gifts. James Laurinaltis and Daniel Fellis captained the Salvation Army’s bell ringing efforts. . .Artistic Sensations.com made holiday dreams come true for a special little girl with the help of CBS-TV’s new daytimer “The Talk.” Through the Make-A-Wish org, “The Talk” surprised Larkin Dorris and her family – on the air -with a new playhouse in her backyard replete with customized furniture to outfit it designed by our town’s Artistic Sensations as chosen by the show’s producers and presented by Julie Chen.
