CNN BREAKING NEWS AT 4 P.M., MONDAY: U.S. REP. (R)  Ann Wagner on human trafficking said that the websites “should be sued.” MO. A.G. Josh Hawley got kudos for his “first of its kind” proposals (see below). “We made good on campaign promises,” said Hawley.
UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI SCHOOL OF LAW has beckoned its first female dean, Lyrissa Barnett Lidsky.

  • KITTY says:

What is CNN, Bergermeister? Is that some abbreviation journalists use? Oops, I forgot. That CNN was part of the Clinton campaign, concocting fake news, feeding her debate questions, lying and misrepresenting anything and everything about Trump, and suppressing any ideology but their own. Hmm. I seem to remember Joseph Goebbels did exactly the same things from 1933 to 1945. Exactly! And the media wonder why they are held in such low esteem with the American public when people like Brian Williams and Wolfman Blitzer are their poster boys.

The Empire Strikes Back. Fortunately, CNN’s ratings tanked years ago when FOX NEWS became the undisputed King of Cable TV News. Soon CNN will become as irrelevant as the Democratic Party!

  • TOWNCAR says:

While standing in the teller line at Commerce Bank (Clayton) there was a wall mounted TV that was showing CNN…I thought I would ask the teller about their choice, and for a Bank suggest FBN or CNBC that is financially oriented…(her) reply was that it was obviously positioned to tick off the “less liberal” customer.

I was going to take my complaint to David Kemper, the Chairman of the Bank, but lucky for him he was “out of town”, so I just went about my business.

On a next visit to my Safe Deposit Box and then to the teller line again…LO, there was CNBC on…I inquired again and was told that someone “suggested” that a change was needed.

Moan, on my latest visit, the TV was back on CNN…my only appreciation was that NO ONE was watching.

  • KITTY says:

Towncar: Each time I have been in the hospital, CNN is the only news channel available – St. Luke’s, St. Mary’s and two horrific and ghastly times I was forced to go to Mo Bap. because my PCM was on staff there. (I changed doctors so I’d never have to go to that hell hole ever again!) At each place patients loudly complain they hate CNN and want Fox News. The nurse and staff say they hear complaints about CNN on a daily basis. It’s bad enough one has to be in the hospital, but having to watch CNN adds to the suffering and pain, and constant nausea!

  • Jean Valjean says:

Kitty, what is “Ernest (sic) and Young” that Jerry purports to assess the financial cost to each family of a border tax?

I feel your pain about CNN in the hospital. Now you know how I felt having to endure having Faux News and Glenn Beck on every day while I toiled at a gulag in San Diego about 8 years ago. And this was BEFORE Faux News HR’s employee handbook advised about how to sexually harass female coworkers.

  • TOWNCAR says:

In defense of Glenn Beck, I learned more history about what’s happening now and why than was taught in HS…Glenn exposed that “Spooky Dude” George Soros, and his 98 “political open societies” that he espouses, and he has been very active on the rent-a-mob scene.

I often wonder the circumstances that leads people to become either liberal or conservative, after all it’s part of all history, just using different terms.

I have often stated that I am to the right of RUSH…so at least you know where I am, and I’m sure many would like to tell me where they would like me to go. It’s fun being me because, like Trump, I have no special interests that I have to buy into, except in my case I heavily support the NRA and various charities.

  • TOWNCAR says:

ADDENDUM: Glenn Beck was physically accosted while at FNC and threatened with great bodily harm if he did not cease his negative portrayal of Soros.

2 months after than, Glenn left FNC.

  • KITTY says:

Jean Valjean: Here’s the poop on Ernst and Young. They have an office in Clayton.

Ernst & Young (trading as EY) is a multinationalprofessional services firm headquartered in London, United Kingdom. It is one of the “Big Four” audit firms and is the third largest professional services firm in the world by aggregated revenue in 2014, after PwC and Deloitte.

I almost fell out of my chair about your being forced to watch FOX NEWS while at work in San Diego. I didn’t know anyone in the wacky liberal state of Snow Flakes watched FOX, much less at work. But, truth be known, having to watch FOX at work made you a better and more enlightened man. A fair and balanced one. And don’t forget, by watching FOX you at least got to hear the truth and the other side of the story, rather than having a one-sided, liberal and deceptive interpretation of the same story as would be shoved down your throat by the radicals at CNN, MSNBC and all of the Democrtatic TV networks – ABC, CBS, PBS and NBC. Now, Glenn Beck is another story altogether. I, too, would have been outraged to have to listen to or watch him at work. He is an alt-right radical that gives conservatism and Repubicans a bad name. So, in that regard, I feel your pain!

  • TOWNCAR says:

It was news to me Kitty, that Bill O’reilly’s LARGEST audience by numbers is in CA on a State by State count.

I have no figures for FNC as a whole in any one State. FNC’s total viewing numbers are, in Trump lingo, YUUUGE.

  • KITTY says:

TC: I was beibg facetious about FOX NEWS viership in CA, but I did not know that FOX’s biggest audience was in CA. How ironic.

  • TOWNCAR says:

Kitty…O’Reilly is # 1 in CA…FNC has suitable numbers but not even close to OR.

  • Eagle says:

Kitty…Mo Bap offers both CNN and Fox on their wired system. Also they offer Fox Sports Midwest and Cardinal Baseball. The rooms in their new West Tower are spacious and beautiful. However, some of the double rooms in the old East Tower have the atmosphere of a third world prison.

  • TOWNCAR says:

…and my last time in MOBAP was around 1996 when a good customer of my business had a quintuple bypass, and later passed away at his home post-op.

A cousin of mine was there last year and said the ER was empty and the availability of doctors was a surplus.

A far cry from MY Hospital…St. Mary’s ER that unfortunately my wife had to use towards the ending month of her life…and the place was stacked up to the ceiling with everything you can imagine in an ER setting, and some that I had no idea could happen in an ER…and after a 5 hour wait the triage manager called our name with a total mispronouncing of our name…but seeing as how there were at that time (6:45AM) only 3 in the ER…I inquired and the man said he only read the name as he saw it…AND I have a CONCIERGE doctor for the both of us…and he arrived shortly after…having been notified only 45min earlier.

Sorry to say things went downhill from there for my (late) wife…this was only mentioned to show the diff between ER situations.

  • TOWNCAR says:

I had NO idea what the TV showed…and at that point I did NOT care…

  • TOWNCAR says:

Looks like Mr. Berger is on unpaid leave…I can hope for a good outcome.

  • KITTY says:

My dislike of MO BAP stems from two horrid times I was a patient there for emergency surgeries only because my PCP was on the staff there. Was in for six days each time. My doctor requested a private room for me each time but none were available, so they said. But an hour after I was admitted Kurt Warner was admitted for appendicitis and given a private room they just denied was available. Then, the place was so noisy, I could hardly stand it. None of the staff were friendly. Some were rude. And the “bedside manner” of all of them was deplorable. Never mind the food was inedible. And having to suffer thru a week of CNN, was worse than the surgery! St. Luke’s is the best is the best game in town!

  • TOWNCAR says:

I also have heard nothing but praise for St. Luke’s, staff, food, accommodations.
