Was the Lifetime Achievement Award from Cairo awarded posthumously?

    Christopher O. “Chris” Jackson

Jackson, Christopher O. ‘Chris’, 47, of Ballwin, died May 25,2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield. His mother (and sole survivor), nationally renowned watercolorist Chrystal Jackson, and his closest friends were at his bedside. Chris had been a prominent figure for many years in the St. Louis arts community. He was an accomplished playwright, composer, musician and artist. His numerous musicals were produced nationally as well as locally. He had served as musical director on two national tours with New York’s famed Dodger Productions. He had also toured extensively with his cabaret shows. Chris had written numerous commercials and industrials for SBC, NBC, AT&T, Fair St. Louis and the St. Louis Art Museum. He had also contributed music for several films.

A Lifetime Achievement Award from the Cairo Jr. High School? I about fell outta my chair thinking about that. WOW! Such a prestigious award from such a renowned institution. Googled around and found that last year they awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award to State Sen. Penny Hubbard for her outstanding manipulation of Absentee Ballots. Sadly, there is no mention of what the award is – trophy, plaque, statuette, ect. – nor is there a picture available of it.

FYI, the website shows the enrollment of the Cairo Jr & Sr. High School is 170 – 54% male, 44% female with total minority enrollment of 96%. – Jackson’s alma mater.

Too bad no one commented on original Star is Born. Have not sure I have seen original with Janet Gaynor, but best was with Judy Garland and James Mason. Somehow can’t compare Lady Gaga to those.

Yes, Eagle. Two different Chris was white and gay. The other is black and straight. The white one is pushing up the daisys!

That area around the football stadium at SIUE is among the safest in the world. In fact, there has never been even a misdemeanor reported near the stadium.
