IN FOCUS
Tonight, HBO premieres “Mea Maxima Culpa,” a new documentary about clergy sex crimes and cover-ups in the Milwaukee archdiocese, where Archbishop Tim Dolan was in charge before being sent to Gotham. The film focuses on what Catholic officials knew and did about Fr. Laurence Murphy who allegedly molested hundreds of deaf students in a boarding school. . .Katie Couric has scored a sit-down interview with Sue Paterno, widow of Penn State’s Joe Paterno, who died last year – two months after he was fired over the sex abuse scandal. The Paternos were married for 50 years. . .Some of the least popular ads during Super Bowl were those touting some of the year’s biggest films, according to TiVo. They feature the talents of Brad Pitt, Usher and Paul Rudd among others. . .Fans of Jon Hamm just can’t wait for the film, “Million Dollar Arm,” in which he stars as J.B. Bernstein. . .

Glad to see more light being put on the church’s sex scandals. You can be sure that you will be accussed of being anti-Catholic for even mentioning this. Many like to bury their heads in the sand and pretend that this never happened. The Los Angeles cardinal was finally relieved of his duties over his role, but it was too little, too late. He should also have been arrested for obstruction of justice.
There are a lot of predatory sick pedophiles in religion, particularly in the catholic church. Those sick predators need to be in prison instead of being hidden from criminal prosecution by bishops that also belong in prison for conspiracy!! I am so glad that I’m an atheist so that I don’t have to interact with those dastardly religious pedophiles!
