IN OUR TOWN

Well, there are a thousand viewpoints in this viewtiful city – and a view is only sacred to him/her who has one and is in danger of losing it. F’rnstnce, the immigration ban. Perhaps Canada will accept those who are banned from the U.S. President Trump’s pick for labor secretary Andrew Puzder, who has come under fire for employing an undocumented employee. Think the media is exhausted from reporting on the administration’s attacks on them? Seems they are reporting for the ages. The ages 4 to 12. Analyses of Super Bowl television commercials are like flies surrounding garbage. Finally, there’s Civic Progress that rules over the wards in St. Louis. They never visit the wards. They know more about Syria, Iran and Iraq than they do about the wards. Some of its members can’t understand the fuss about a soccer stadium. They can’t see anything wrong with a device that takes you where you’re going as fast away from the wards as possible – no matter how much beauty was sacrificed in the process.

The media are reporting for the ages….ages 2 days to 1 yr. old. By the time kids are 4-12 yrs. old, they already know how crooked and corrupt and biased the media are! Then they go to school where their minds are poisoned by political correctness!

Kitty…your dystopian (a society characterized by human misery, as squalor, oppression, disease, and overcrowding) view of the media and the nation’s schools is perfectly consistent with Mr. Trump’s view of America as a Hell hole. Americans, however, hold a more optimistic general position in the country’s institutions: Roughly three-quarters of both Republicans and Democrats say people in their country are hopeful (Pew Research, June 2016).

Which do you think is more representative of America–the north side of the city of St. Louis, or Frontenac, or Maryland Heights? Mr. Trump seems to think it’s north St. Louis. The majority disagree with him but lack Mr. Trump’s ability to command the airways to challenge his point of view.

Finally, the research cited above asked about then-President Obama, who Republicans like to defame nonstop. “U.S. President Barack Obama’s ratings in key European and Asian countries remain robust. Overall, around half or more in 15 of 16 countries surveyed, including the United States, have confidence in him to do the right thing regarding world affairs. This includes more than 80% in Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Australia. Trust in Obama has stayed strong throughout his two terms as U.S. president.

“Along with Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel receives relatively high marks from publics in Europe. By contrast, relatively few in either Europe or Asia express confidence in Russian President Vladimir Putin to do the right thing when it comes to foreign policy.” Vlad, of course, is Mr. Trump’s BFF.

  • TOWNCAR says:

Of course Obama’s ratings “in key European and Asian countries [may be] robust.” Everyone loves a President that gives away the store and asks nothing but love and adulation in return. Fools paradise.

Angela Merkel admitted that allowing all those “refugees and companions” was a YUGE mistake, and the other countries mentioned are finding the same result…kind of a death by a thousand little cuts. And the spread of the bacteria of radical Islam continues to eat the flesh of every land it enters.

I would rather have an ongoing mutual access to Putin, than a confrontational morass that was the very HOT, Cold war.

Trump should tout the total disaster in St. Louis which now has 110,000 Muslim immigrants from Bosnia. It shows exactly why we can’t trust “them” – because, you know, the daily devastation, Sharia law and terrorism. Seriously, look around south St. Louis city!
There, you will find so many Muslims who … wait …
South St. Louis city is thriving. No bloodshed. A booming center of activity. Civility. Citizenship. People acting on the good found in all religions to be kind to neighbors, to not stir up trouble, to work their butts off to eke out a living while making the city so much better. The media has done a terrible job of … showcasing how St. Louis and SO many other American cities are far better off with immigrants than those who throw up walls to keep their heads in the sand.

You see, the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s fear.
Thank God that St. Louis acted on biblical and American principles to open our arms for people fleeing violence and war. St. Louis is all the better for that, just as we are better for the waves of French, Germans, Irish, Italian, Polish, and so many others who have come here to eke out a living.

Andrew Puzder’s company, Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s, is the former Burger Chef, famous for serving their burgers “with” or “without”. You know, just like Americans, those with…and those without. And we all know which groups this rogues gallery of billionaires in the White House and Cabinet are geared up to woo….and to screw.

  • Eagle says:

TC…So you seek common cause with Putin? You mother fucking traitor!

  • TOWNCAR says:

OK Eagle, would you rather just verbally joust with me, or would you have ma call a “friend” and have your knees broken ? I think you would choose the joust, which is exactly what Trump is aptly doing here.

Calling me a fucking traitor is unseemly, untrue, and unwise. You [were] above that, and it just leads me to believe your mind is as shallow as your temper, and that’s not a good thing, and would not end well.

  • TOWNCAR says:

…and as I read in a “public letter from an American Muslim” Those peaceful and o so wonderful neighbors are just waiting for the call to Jihad to perform their duties.and kill all infidels.

Of course this scenario will be discounted, but I did not write it, can find ancillary material that provides the background, and then hope the correct Intelligence to stop the slaughter before it starts.

Only in a perfect world, which this one is not.

  • TOWNCAR says:

I found the website…called “Freedom Daily”…states that it is a conservative website…but a letter from GAYLAND ZAHN contains a letter from the Muslim mentioned above.

I will leave the conclusions to the readers, but the point taken has a sharp tip.
