JOHN KING IN THE THROES OF JCC’S LAND FUTURE
On the subject of zoning, King said 50 acres of a tract at the JCC will be developed and sold via lots by Mike Staenberg to Pulte, the nation’s largest homebuilder. With King was his son, Paul, who owns the Gateway Golf Center. CBC’s prez, Mike England, said 368 golfers participated in the tourney, raising $175,000 “for a good Christian education in support of financial aid to students.” Tuition is now more than $11,000 a year, which includes laptop fees. “With the struggling economy, we have 830 students and 235 freshmen. Our vision is having 1,000 students with 250 in each class. Then, we can expand the campus.”
