On to the stellar Truffles in Ladue, where former Sen. Christopher “Kit” Bond and his wife, Linda, joined his colleagues with the Thompson Coburn law firm.  Kit flourished with pride a photo of his two year-old grandaughter, Elizabeth Ivy Bond.  Linda, a blooming interior designer, said she is attending Maryville to learn some new design features.  In the kitchen, exec chef Brandon Benack gave a hearty greeting, while preparing Truffles’ signature dover sole and bananas foster. So, my evening came to a close and since old gentlemen of my age are allowed a half-aphorism or two, let me say that there is no future in the past, wherefore I face my declining years with equanimity and equipose.
