A Saturday meeting at a Clayton law firm of some of St. Louis County executive Charlie Dooley‘s department directors and political people, reported exclusively by the Post-Dispatch’s well-connected Deb Peterson, was subsequently hotly denied by the participants. Affable county flack Mac Scott, who had originally acknowledged the meeting, backtracked to say that he had “gotten the dates mixed up.” So, what about a meeting of the same group at Gallup, Johnson & Neuman on August 22, 2009? Did that one happen?
