LOUIS SUSMAN TO BE SUCCEEDED BY ANNA WINTOUR?

Hometowner Louis Susman’s term as ambassador to the Court of St. James in the U.K. may conclude giving way to Anna Wintour, Vogue editor-in-chief, who raised $500k for President Obama. Susman reportedly holds about five social events a week for which some costs come out of his own pocket like many of his predecessors. So, the once revered post nowdays goes to wealthy donors instead of career diplomats. . .Susman once served as attorney to the late Gussie Busch, but was banished by the court of August Busch, III. . .Meanwhile,  Anheuser-Busch has bought four and-a-half minutes of time during the Super Bowl, which comes to more than $16 million.  Bud Black Crown ad will appear in the first slot of commerical break after kickoff; two Black Crown ads will be followed by Bud Light, the Sapphire ad and the Clydesdale ad for Bud Light. . .Applause for 101 ESPN’s midday host Bernie Miklasz, recently honored by the National Sportscasters and Sportswiters Association as “Missouri Sportswriter of the Year” (for the P-D). . .Another late starter:  Sen. Brian Nieves who represents Franklin and west St. Louis county was not present for the opening of legislative session.  Rumored that he was on vacation.
