MUSLIM CONNECTION

FROM A READER: A compilation of historic facts about Muslims
If the latest batch of murders, beheadings, and killing of innocent people has shocked you, maybe you should read this compilation of historical facts about the hatred of Muslims.
WE, THE STUPID
This is factually (and historically) correct – and verifiable:
In 732 A.D. The Muslim Army, which was moving on Paris, was defeated and turned back at Tours, France, by Charles Martell.
In 1571 A.D. The Muslim Army/Navy was defeated by the Italians and Austrians as they tried to cross the Mediterranean to attack southern Europe in the Battle of Lepanto.
In 1683 A.D. The Turkish Muslim Army, attacking Eastern Europe, was finally defeated in the Battle of Vienna by German and Polish Christian Armies.
This has been going on for 1,400 years and half of the politicians don’t even know it. If these battles had not been won, we might be speaking Arabic and Christianity could be non-existent; Judaism certainly would not exist. Reflecting: A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine that America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves. Pause a moment and reflect back. These events are actual events from history. They really happened!
Do you remember?
It’s been 48 years since 1968 and this just keeps going on and on.
1. In 1968, Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim male.
2. In 1972, at the Munich Olympics, Israeli athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim males.
3. In 1972, a Pan Am 747 was hijacked and eventually diverted to Cairo where a fuse was lit on final approach. Shortly after landing it was blown up by Muslim males.
4. In 1973, a Pan Am 707 was destroyed in Rome, with 33 people killed, when it was attacked with grenades by Muslim males.
5. In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim males.
6. During the 1980’s a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslim males.
7. In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by Muslim males.
8. In 1985, the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked and a 70-year old American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by Muslim males.
9. In 1985, TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens, and a US Navy diver trying to rescue passengers was murdered by Muslim males.
10. In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by Muslim males.
11. In 1993, the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by Muslim males.
12. In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim males.
13. On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked; two were used as missiles to take down the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was diverted and crashed by the passengers. Thousands of people were killed by Muslim males.
14. In 2002, the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against Muslim males.
15. In 2002, reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and beheaded by – you guessed it – a Muslim male. (Plus two other American journalists who were just recently beheaded).
16. In 2013, the Boston Marathon Bombing resulted in 4 Innocent people, (including a child) being killed and 264 people injured by Muslim males.
No Profiling …
Justifying profiling? To ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. So, ask yourself “Just how stupid are we???
“Absolutely No Profiling! They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the Obama’s security detail, 85-year-old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss, BUT……..leave Muslim Males alone lest we be guilty of profiling.
Ask yourself, “Just how stupid are we?” Have the American people completely lost their minds or just their Power of Reason? As the writer of the award winning story ” Forrest Gump ” so aptly put it, “Stupid Is As Stupid Does

Thank you, Bergermeister, for posting this great and blistering indictment of Islam and Muslims.

But let’s not forget the words of our Islamist president, spoken on July 29, 2014, when he thanked Muslims for their contributions in “building the very fabric” of the country.” And “vital contributions to guiding the United States since this country’s inception, …”

Muslims were among the black slaves of the old south. There is nothing found suggesting they built the fabric or America or vitally contributed to guiding the Unite States since its inception. Except for forced labor they did nothing else!

Here are some wiki factoids about Muslims in America.

American Muslims come from various backgrounds and, according to a 2009 Gallup poll, are one of the most racially diverse religious groups in the United States.[4] Native-born American Muslims are mainly African Americans who make up about a quarter of the total Muslim population. Many of these have converted to Islam during the last seventy years. Conversion to Islam in large urban areas[5] has also contributed to its growth over the years.

While an estimated 10 percent[6][7] of the slaves brought to colonial America from Africa arrived as Muslims,[8][9] Islam was stringently suppressed on plantations.[6] Prior to the late 19th century, most documented non-enslaved Muslims in North America were merchants, travelers, and sailors.[8]

Islamic Center of Washington at Washington, D.C. was opened in 1957.
From the 1880s to 1914, several thousand Muslims immigrated to the United States from the former territories of the Ottoman Empire and the former Mughal Empire.[10] The Muslim population of the U.S. increased dramatically in the 20th century, with much of the growth driven by a comparatively high birth rate and immigrant communities of mainly Arab and South Asian descent. About 72% of American Muslims are immigrants or “second generation”.[11][12]

In 2005, more people from Islamic countries became legal permanent United States residents—nearly 96,000—than there had been in any other year in the previous two decades.[13][14] In 2009, more than 115,000 Muslims became legal residents of the United States.[15]

  • Eagle says:

Jerry… Since when do you allow your site to be used to fan the flames of racial hatred? I traced this venomous list to a cluster of malignant hate sites normally populated by racial bigots such as … well, I think we all know who the bigots among us are.

As you no doubt realize, the purpose of the posting was to stir up racial animosity, something you never do. Therefore, I have to conclude that you weren’t the one who made the editorial decision to publish this trash. Obviously, someone with no editorial judgement put it up in your stead. And now their poor judgement reflects badly on you.

  • jean valjean says:

I hate to even dignify Kitty’s hate or BrightFart News with a comment, but here’s the truth about Obama saying Muslims “built the fabric” of the USA:
    http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/fabric.asp

  • Cowboy22 says:

agrees with Eagle. This doesn’t sound like Jerry’s work at all. Very odd.

  • Towncar07 says:

People seem to downplay the foremost rule of Islam, that being WORLD DOMINATION…this has been going on since the 7th Century or whenever, and those that just accept Muslims as peaceful…THEY WOULD BE…except for the hidden fact that Part2 of the Qur’an supersedes Part1, which is the “Love and Peace” part…Part2 is the instruction to follow and OBEY the tenets set forth, or face INFIDEL status for even the peaceful, as they will also be cited as INFIDEL if they refer]se to follow the radicals.

I think Mr. Berger showed real guts in the posting of his treatise/summary…it’s a welcome debate that will stray from the almost regurgitating repetition of strayed priests and liberal/conservative blather.

In the least, it should attempt to make the readers THINK, and THINK HARD about what is happening while the majority lament the passing of American Idol and the latest Kardashian sewage.

  • Towncar07 says:

I forgot to mention…TAKE A LOOK AT PRESENT DAY EUROPE AND THE EFFECTS OF UNFETTERED ISLAMIC ENTRY.

If and when this starts happening here with increasing frequency…well there’s History that cannot be denied…people above call it bigotry or racist…I disagree…it’s truth in a very smelly package and a form of Trojan Horse that might just take us to a place that no one thought our USA would ever be (again, and again)

Mr. Berger may have taken a chance to really open this can of worms and show just who and where the worms are.

  • Eagle says:

I suspect TC is the person who sent the list in the first place. His continuing bigotry would embarrass anyone this side of David Duke and the KKK, but he just keeps on spouting off with his breath-taking display of ignorance. TC…here’s a tip. Confine your miserable postings to the extremist websites where you’d be right in step with their hateful blathering. Islamic extremism is a real problem, but your proclamations do nothing to work toward understanding the real dynamics of the problem.

  • Zenalyst says:

I agree with Eagle. I was shocked to see this in your blog. I too have seen the same list sent to me many times by acquaintances who have become so paranoid in their dotage that they sit around all day reading and resending xenophobic garbage that usually starts with DO NOT DELETE THIS and TURN UP THE VOLUME for this Important Message. Throw a waving flag and a diving screaming eagle into the mix and you have the perfect blend of sewage flowing over the internet. The author of WE THE STUPID is the perfect profile of the type of person who historically starts persecutions and wars against whatever group of people by creating hysteria, siege mentality, and panic. Any historian can point to times when one religion, one country, one race have been responsible for some horrible act against others. Selective usage of points in history to claim “proof” of something is the lowest intellectual dishonesty. The writer of WE THE STUPID is either a paranoid or a disciple of Karl Rove. The first should be put in a straight jacket and a padded cell, the second should be duct taped by being outed for the fraud he is.

  • Towncar07 says:

WOW…Liberalism at it’s “finest”…I have been screaming about Islamic Fundamentalism for years and no one payed any attention or just POOPOO the mentions…now that there is something that stirs the pot of leftist injustice with a litany of real facts…suddenly it’s MY fault…

Hey you sick jerks, get your pants out of a wad and pay attention…finally Berger puts something that the 92% Liberal cannot be allowed to even think, because you all DON’T THINK…and you THINK it’s ME ?

A cream pie in the face to all you pansies…makes me gag at the preposterous litany of sins that Liberals are fine with, and then along comes a piece that has validity and it’s my fault??? For the sake of common courtesy, something you libs would never accept, I just say…READ HISTORY…and then deny it. SCREW YOU ALL.

  • Eagle says:

TC… No one said the hateful list was your fault. But in defending its inclusion on the Berger’s Beat website, you adopt a certain measure of ownership for it.

Yes, some horrible things have been attributed to extremist followers of Islam. But as Zenalyst points out, “Any historian can point to times when one religion, one country, one race have been responsible for some horrible act against others.”

There is an existent problem in some sectors of the world-wide Muslim community. No one denies it exists. But working together to solve the problem doesn’t mean stirring up hatred toward all Muslims. We have to reach out to the Muslim community and work together if we are to ever solve this issue.

Finally, if Liberalism means standing up to the hateful right wing, then I’m proud to called a Liberal. Thank you for what you mistakenly believe is a pejorative. I’ll wear that designation as a badge of honor.

  • Towncar07 says:

When the President does not even acknowledge the crux of the problem, that is a sign that I don’t like, and will not tolerate as a voter. No “working together” is ever going to solve the problem until the problem is eliminated and final.

  • RETIRED1 says:

The actions attributed to muslims in this blog pale in comparison to the atrocities committed by christians of the same hue as Clowncar07 and Kitty against the millions of Indians slaughtered and intentionally sickened with blankets infected with smallpox, the millions of black slaves murdered during 400+ years of slavery in America and the millions killed by christians during the christian Crusades!!
Here is another atrocity committed by Clowncar07’s vile Catholic church!
    http://triblive.com/state/pennsylvania/10608049-74/abuse-bill-archdiocese

  • Eagle says:

TC says ” 1. When the President does not even acknowledge the crux of the problem, that is a sign that I don’t like, and 2. will not tolerate as a voter. 3. No “working together” is ever going to solve the problem until the problem is eliminated and final.”

    1. The president knows the power of words. That’s why he won’t has refused to label the fight against terrorism as a war on radical Islam or any kind of “religious war,” insisting that such labels hurt efforts to root out radical ideologies in Muslim communities. Put simply, we have to work together with Islamic communities–Muslims–to quell the cancer of extremism. Sorry you can’t grasp this concept. It’s your shortcoming, not Mr. Obama’s. 2. So don’t tolerate his position. I’m sure you never voted for him and never will vote for a Democrat. That’s your privilege as an American. 3. Gibberish. The problem won’t be solved until the problem has been solved (“is eliminated and final).” Spoken like–to use your term–a “clear thinking conservative.” By the way, that’s a term the rest of us would call oxymoronic. Cheers.

  • Towncar07 says:

Eagle, are you sure you are not employed by the PD Editorial board? You are an expert apologist and cheerleader, and I wish I had the time to be a Martin Duggan type and really get on board and pull the stops.

However, we can argue back and forth, and Retired1 will offer his non sequiturs and general negative train wreck of thought, but as I have indicated, I just don’t have the time to delve into all of this, mainly because of the forum here…it’s like the Beatles Tune that said the funeral was held and nobody came. If i could most eloquently present my side in the most specific terms, and cite specific examples, I still would be found guilty of just “being a follower of Rush or Bill or pick your Conservative of the day and be voted wrong because I do not buy it.

That;s why I set a timer for any comments made here, and as I have mentioned I have much more FUN watching and commenting on the passing scene, that has no political noise attached…but this year is unlike any other in my 75 years of life…and I see our Country in grave danger, which may or may not be reality, but i see it nonetheless, and my TAXES prove I’m must be doing something right to be taxed so heavily. Enjoy while you can, pendulums swing, and carry a sword with each swing.

The timer just rang…I will comment again on another subject that I feel worthy. You will be there to be in a sense, your own perfect squelch to my opinion.

  • Eagle says:

TC…one of is very right and one is very wrong. By the way, Rush is a hate monger. That’s why he’s never invited to sit on a panel that includes guests of all political persuasions. Hugh Hewett among others can express conservative ideology without ugly allusions or personal attacks. By the way, National Review is noodling the idea of dumping Trump at the convention and nominating Scott Walker. This is one great year to follow politics. Cheers.

  • buttinsky says:

Rush doesn’t appear on panels because he doesn’t want to. He could be on one every day if he wanted to take the time. You also may not know he is functionally deaf and is only able to do his show with very sophisticated equipment which wouldn’t lend itself to opining on TV shows.

  • Towncar07 says:

O Eagle…Rush is a “Hate Monger” get real….what is “REV” Louis Farrakahn and the “Revved” AL…Love Preachers…?You would support THEM over Rush…your flag is flying at half-mast, and your mind agrees.

Your bread just fell on the floor jelly-side down. You claim to be just liberal, but you may be a liberal-monger.

Rush gets about 60 invites a month…but only speaks where he can deliver a monologue, for the exact reasons that buttinsky suggested. That’s why he does not have Q&A sessions, or press “conferences”.

Lordy, what would you do if Paul Harvey were still alive and on the air…?

  • Eagle says:

No matter how much TC hates the black folks his Republican bigoted buddies despise, Rush is still a hate monger. He’s one of the most-hated people in America and it’s not because of his conservative views. It’s because of the hateful innuendo and snark that mark his corrosive rants.

Paul Ryan is just as conservative if not more so than Limbaugh, but no one accuses him of being a hater. Charles Krauthammer and George Will are pretty conservative yet no considers them to be in Limbaugh’s league as haters. KMOX’s Mark Reardon adheres to the conservative agenda as does Jim Talent’s wife when she guests on Donnybrook, but neither expresses their opinion in the vile manner that characterizes Limbaugh.

It was with great joy that I watched the backlash from Limbaugh’s targeting of Sandra Fluke. The backlash from his insensitive remarks caused sponsors and stations alike to cancel their support for his cancerous program.

In closing, I urge TC to keep posting his political views. Given the statistical odds, he should post something that isn’t completely asinine by the end of the decade.

  • Eagle says:

Thought I’d warn the politically interested about a barrage of garbage Lyin’ Donald is going to dump next week.

Politico recently reported that Trump will unveil a “charge sheet” against Hillary Clinton on Monday. Trump has repeatedly used research from The Clintons’ War on Women, which is co-authored by Robert Morrow — a bizarre conspiracy theorist who uses his Twitter account to endlessly tweet the slur “nigger,” including about President Obama.

Politico wrote that “Trump’s team is hunkering down to draft the charge sheet the presumptive GOP nominee will unveil against Hillary Clinton on Monday, intent on laying out a credible general election argument that leads voters to question her trustworthiness. … [The] biggest proponent of using allegations about Bill Clinton is longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone, whose recent book about the Clintons details a number of alleged affairs that Stone says the Clintons covered up. The book could provide a trove of material, however controversial, if Trump opts to go down this road.”

Trump promoted the book through his Twitter account in October, writing, “The latest book on Hillary—Wow, a really tough one!” He has also alluded to the book in the media, and New York reported that “Trump is consulting” the book. Morrow said in May that Trump is “going to use it. It’s just a matter of when.”

Nothing Stone writes should be taken seriously. He has a long history of political dirty tricks, and he regularly spouts violent, racist, and sexist rhetoric. He’s called Hillary Clinton a “cunt” and advocated for her execution. He’s also pushed racist commentary, including tweeting “nigga” and calling his perceived enemies “stupid negro,” “token,” “Uncle Tom,” “Mandingo,” and “house negro.”

Stone’s co-author Robert Morrow is similarly disreputable and racist. He’s wished death on Hillary Clinton and been visited by the Secret Service; posted bizarre sexual writings about the former secretary of state; called Chelsea Clinton a “slut” and imagined how she would “have sex one day” with Bill Clinton; posted about “pro-faggot JUDICIAL ACTIVISM”; and claimed the Bush and Clinton families were involved in murders.

The Clintons’ War on Women is dedicated to and cites anti-Clinton research from virulent anti-Semite Victor Thorn. In addition to his Clinton work, Thorn also wrote The Holocaust Hoax Exposed — as the title suggests, Thorn believes the Holocaust is a myth — and blames a “Jewish plot” for the 9/11 attacks. Morrow said he is “Very proud to have ace researcher Victor Thorn as a friend of mine. Knows a lot about Clinton/Bush crime families.”

Morrow was actually elected chairman of the Republican Party in Travis County, TX, and will take the position on June 13. But because of his extreme writings and views, Republicans have “passed a set of changes to its bylaws that substantially dilute Morrow’s authority.”

Morrow’s Twitter account is a cesspool of misogyny and racism. He rates half-naked anime characters. He tweets pictures of scantily clad women. And he revels in tweeting the slur “nigger,” including calling President Obama a “nigger.” (Morrow tweeted that he will soon “be the Head Nigger in Charge of the Travis County Republican Party.”)

Is it any wonder that concerned Republicans are discussing changing the party’s convention rules to unbind the delegates on the first ballot so a replacement for Trump can be voted in.

  • Towncar07 says:

For the first time Eagle, I feel sorry for you. To be so indoctrinated is beyond even level thought, but rather indoctrinated thought. No matter your claim of balance, you have tipped my scale to hateful, spiteful and dreadful.

Th say that I “hate black folks” is beyond even Retired1…you have become a spokesman for the evil left, and for me to use the word EVIL I rarely ever have done. You have NO proof, you have NO basis, and you are just a sorry lost soul.

Consider yourself slapped with a ton of wet pasta.

  • Towncar07 says:

…and to add my German heritage…buried in a ton of Sauerkraut. Read that as SOUR-KRAUT.

    This ends here and now.

  • RETIRED1 says:

I suspect that Clowncar07 is related to Adolph Hitler and members of the Nazi Party.

  • Eagle says:

Sure TC. Pick up your ball and run home. Next time don’t bring a limp xxxx to a gunfight.

  • Cowboy22 says:

All I know is that when I step back and look at the full portfolio of postings by Jerry, this one stands out as very uncharacteristic. Nothing to do with reminiscing, current events, anything like that. I have to believe somebody hacked his account.

  • Towncar07 says:

I have been trying to illustrate the Islam and Muslim domination intentions for years. Finally, when a piece is presented that actually and accurately gives the history, and provides a look into what might be the future of radical Islam come to our shores…and then be vilified for agreeing, I am led to believe that this forum has run off the rails and crashed.

Looks like the final tally is 95-05% Liberal…even a magician could not beat those odds.

  • Eagle says:

TC…Your inability to recognize far right propaganda is staggering. We all agree that extremists are at war with the West. But you have blindly accepted that all Muslims share the passions of the extremists. That false generalization brands you as racist. It’s the same thing as Donald Trump saying Judge Curiel can’t adjudicate fairly because he’s “Mexican.” Are you really as morally and intellectually bankrupt as you position yourself?

Furthermore, I suspect you’re the individual that provided the list to the editor of Berger’s Beat as it appears on dozens of the type of extremist websites you admit to visiting. Others besides myself find the list’s inclusion on the site perplexing as it’s no more than right wing screeds, lacking the style and substance of Jerry’s usual fare.

This forum has not “run off the rails and crashed,” as you charge. It is your pathetic attempt to proselytize your extremist views that has failed. Try visiting reputable center-right conservative websites and note the difference between them and the fringe rat holes that have you brainwashed. Genuine conservatives have much to contribute to the national dialogue. Gullible fools do not.

  • Towncar07 says:

Yes, Islam is the religion of peace…ask the people in Orlando if they thought “Alahu Akbar” meant “I love everyone” while he sprayed the place with heavy ammo…

Dunce cap on order. Stay in the corner anyhow.

  • Towncar07 says:

Also Eagle, for the last time, peaceful Muslims would stay that way EXCEPT their Qur’an according to Part2, which supersedes Part1, is the radical part that MUST BE OBEYED…or else [they] that refuse will also become seen as INFIDELS…get your damn head out of the sand, clear your eyes, open your mind…Islam is an evil cult masquerading as a religion…go ask those killed and wounded in Orlando.

Where do I deliver this dunce cap for you…don’t leave the corner quite yet either.

  • Eagle says:

Keep condemning all Muslims for the action of the extremists. That’s exactly what ISIS wants. You are a godsend for them: A pliable dupe who accepts everything cranked out by the batshit right.

Your ignorant statement, “Islam is an evil cult masquerading as a religion,” will lift the spirits of vicious terrorists everywhere. We need to discipline ourselves and focus on a viable strategy for fighting ISIS. The extension of your position would be to round up all Muslims and execute them. After all, if they are captives to the scripture as you claim, then they have to be eliminated. Or are you too shortsighted to see this? Given all your other bigoted stances, I expect you are that shortsighted.

  • Towncar07 says:

Well, when a shooting takes place that takes lives, they only secondarily blame the shooter…the FIRST thing they do is blame the GUN…yes, and cars drive drunk.

STUDY the tenets of Islam, can’t you SEE that this type of thing has been going on for Centuries, and finally steps were taken to stop the madness…It may have to happen AGAIN. What is it about KILL ALL INFIDELS that you don’t get?

The viable strategy is to stomp and KILL the snake of Islam, and the only real way is to stop ISIS, then if the peaceful decide they like peaceful, and there is no Shariah Law, then a semblance of peace may prevail…UNTIL the next radical stirs the pot, and there we go again. Yes, they have to be ELIMINATED…this is not far right babble, this is survival. OR, you can convert to Islam…there goes our Constitution down the toilet. Maybe you buy into that.

You still don’t get that the extremists will NOT stop…you must cut off the head and bury it deep. It’s going to take another horrid happening to maybe make you stop and reconsider your idea to talk all nice and friendly to people that have sworn to kill you.

If this is bigoted, then I wear that badge with honor. Take a course in Islam, listen to the apologists, it all sounds so idealistic…but it is gross fakery and delusion taken thru actual History.

I won’t convince the unconvincable, you will just have to have it happen with regularity, and you might see the connection to the evil and reconsider your position.

About 6 months ago I sent an email to Mr. Berger imploring him to find another subject of debate as I think enough had been said about pedophile priests and all the rantings thereon. I guess he put it in his notebook and found one that certainly filled the bill. You cannot deny that the piece is pretty condemning…unless you maintain it is fake or extremist right-wing. SHIT happens, and even here in our USA we just might have a big pile waiting to be dumped on us. Orlando was just another in a series.

It is so evident that you know little or less than little about Islam and it’s history in history, and where it is in our history…and to make your day complete, I maintain The USS Cole, and then 9/11 got many to think about Islam…and then our President tacitly allows the direction it has taken now, and it was never more clear that the influx of Islamists under the guise of “refugees” (all strapping young men that don’t look defenseless)…and his top administrative aides are all Muslim, or Muslim-connected. The inability to call Islamic terror “hatred and violence” without the islamic reference when it is they that have done it, is rank denial and the Qur’an does not allow Islam, or any slander of The Prophet to be spoken…Hence Obama many facets of “workplace violence”…my ass.

THIS IS THE LAST COMMENT I WILL MAKE ON THIS SUBJECT…

  • Eagle says:

ISIS is a cancer in the Islamic faith. As a heavy handed ignoramus, you would treat that cancer by killing the patient. Not only are you incapable of the critical thought necessary to solve a complex problem, you also prove yourself to be a liar. At 3:47 you posted THIS IS THE LAST COMMENT I WILL MAKE ON THIS SUBJECT. At 3:53 you applauded Kitty’s vile rant on Islam. So you stuck with your position for a whole six minutes. Then again you said you weren’t going to comment on political matters anymore, probably because some of us were using your own words to make you look like a stupid bigot. Should have stuck with that promise.

By the way, the Republicans and the Democrats are pretty well together on how ISIS should be fought. But you and Kitty evidently didn’t get the memo. Dream on, fantasy man, someday one of your positions will be correct. Hey, that dunce cap you talk about–it’s absolutely perfect for you.

  • RETIRED1 says:

I see that Eagle is realizing what I learned long ago,the futility of attempting to have intelligent dialogue with Clowncar07. He’s hopeless as far as critical thinking.

  • Towncar07 says:

I guess I have to make myself more clear…ISIS is a cancer on the Muslim faith…what is more important is that Part2 of the Qur’an, which supersedes Part1 which is peace and love, is demanded to follow those tenets in Part2.

Part2 is the section which has all the rules, obligations, permissions, and demands of the correct following of true Islam and all the debauchery that is contained therein for use against those who violate Part2, AND any infidels that will not convert to Islam.

NOW THE KICKER…ISIS IS ISLAM…ISLAM IS ISIS… The radicals that obey Part2 and believe that is the true Islam and may KILL anyone or everyone that does not OBEY [Part2] of the Qur’an which is ISLAM…ISIS…and all the others that DEMAND strict adherence to ISLAM as defined in Part2 of their Qur’an. NOW DO YOU GET IT ???

  • Eagle says:

I get it. What I get is that you’re a frightened ignoramus who will believe anything. (Who else would go to the far rightwing websites for their information?)

Is the Quran a threat to the world, as you so assert? Well, here’s what a religion historian found when he compared the brutality quotient of the Quran and the Bible. (Philip Jenkins, a professor at Penn State University and author of two books dealing with the issue.)

“Much to my surprise, the Islamic scriptures in the Quran were actually far less bloody and less violent than those in the Bible,” Jenkins says.

“By the standards of the time, which is the 7th century A.D., the laws of war that are laid down by the Quran are actually reasonably humane,” he says. “Then we turn to the Bible, and we actually find something that is for many people a real surprise. There is a specific kind of warfare laid down in the Bible which we can only call genocide.”

It is called herem, and it means total annihilation. Consider the Book of 1 Samuel, when God instructs King Saul to attack the Amalekites: “And utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them,” God says through the prophet Samuel. “But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.” When Saul failed to do that, God took away his kingdom.

“In other words,” Jenkins says, “Saul has committed a dreadful sin by failing to complete genocide. And that passage echoes through Christian history. It is often used, for example, in American stories of the confrontation with Indians — not just is it legitimate to kill Indians, but you are violating God’s law if you do not.”

Jenkins notes that the history of Christianity is strewn with herem. During the Crusades in the Middle Ages, the Catholic popes declared the Muslims Amalekites. In the great religious wars in the 16th, 17th and 19th centuries, Protestants and Catholics each believed the other side were the Amalekites and should be utterly destroyed.

But Jenkins says, even though the Bible is violent, Christianity and Judaism today are not for the most part.
“What happens in all religions as they grow and mature and expand, they go through a process of forgetting of the original violence, and I call this a process of holy amnesia,” Jenkins says.

They make the violence symbolic: Wiping out the enemy becomes wiping out one’s own sins. Jenkins says that until recently, Islam had the same sort of holy amnesia, and many Muslims interpreted jihad, for example, as an internal struggle, not physical warfare. END JENKINS

So yes, I get it. You’re a fearful little man who supports fear mongering populists like Donald Trump who want to banish all Muslims. But did you know that every lethal terrorist attack in the United States in the past decade and a half has been carried out by American citizens or legal permanent residents, operating either as lone wolves or in pairs, who have no formal connections or training from terrorist organizations such as al Qaeda or ISIS.” That from a national security analyst with lots of credentials. (That means he didn’t get it off one of your fear mongering websites, or from Breitbart.)

ISIS is a cancer but not because of the Quran, but despite the Quran and the greater Muslim community. If you are really that fearful go buy yourself a dozen assault rifles with oversize magazines and a few thousand rounds of ammunition. The rest of us who aren’t afraid of our own shadows (Wolf! Wolf! Run! Run!) will rely on our elected officials working in concert with the counter-terrorism experts to come up with a viable plan for identifying and taking down these home grown monsters.

Islamic apologists are legion, and it would take a seminar followed by a debate, and still nothing will be settled. Your justifications are generalizations only because they are presented in such a way that they become acceptable to a logical thinker that is convinced of opinions that follow your ideology. You have my blessing.

Uh, the Qur’an is the rule book that all of the “Radicals” use to justify their actions. The Qur’an is not my book, and to compare the writings of a true pedophile bigamist that promises carnal rewards for forced following of debaucherous acts is up for your acceptance…if you need to compare it to the Christian Bible (mostly in the Old Testament) then be my guest, it has been out there for over 2000 years and the only things incited was the final reaction to stop the march of Islam across the continents.

I don’t think that very many Jewish would look at your conclusions and find solace and acceptance.

I maintain my position, you maintain yours…and so now that is all that I can say, and I’m damn tired of saying it…if the sky falls, you will be the first to realize it. Pax Vobiscum.

Your position that all Muslim are dangerous murders because their holy book demands it is absolute quackery. Not only is thinking like yours ignorant, it would only make the fight against ISIS that much more difficult to win. Even Donald Trump said as much in his speech today when he said we have to work with the Muslim community to identify those members who might have been radicalized.

By the way, why would you bring my religion into your failure to grasp the truth about Islam? I don’t presuppose how the Catholic community would react to your unsupportable suppositions. But while we’re on the subject, the Jewish community is known for its enlightened, progressive views, the very opposite of the bigotry you continually espouse. While I cannot speak for what the over all Jewish community thinks, I certainly doubt that you’re in any better position to know how they perceive this dangerous problem. But I’m absolutely certain they would reject your inference that what is required is an all-out war against Islam.

O God…help me I’m beset by beasts of burden…you either are blind to my statements or you just love being a real pain…1) Muslims if left alone may become peaceful, but when confronted they must become radical or become an infidel. 2) ISIS will bring the fight to win by whatever means for whatever time it takes. 3) I am born and raised Roman Catholic, a fact not lost on the Retired1. 4) If you do not see and understand Islam for what it is, anything I say will not change that, and other Islamists just might really take a liking to your compromise, and rope in another dupe.

Islam is on the march, if it were contained in the countries that it is established, fine, they have their sovereign ways…but as soon as they threaten others, just like communism in the 50’s, you either sever their spine, or they will slice yours into pieces, with both a thousand fires and financial burden, and will not stop until all resistance is gone.

…if your intention is to misconstrue everything I write, and want to inject one more thorn…I AM DONE HERE…VACATION BECKONS. I AM HANGING UP NOW. [sound of laptop lid slamming shut]

Thus exits TC, a man who was born into white priviledge: Rich parents; a large, comfortable childhood home; black servants; exclusive private schools, and; not a whit of empathy for the less fortunate: those born poor in a St. Louis ghetto; a single parent, and; an inferior school system.

Watch out for those Muslims you fear so much. Their holy book says the first ones they are going to slaughter are the bigots.
