The attack was over a front-page expose on the wealth of the Chinese prime minister Wen Jiabao’s family.  For the last four months, the newspaper officials said the corporate passwords of all reporters were stolen in the breach.  The NYT had reported the prime minister had accumulated a private fortune of several billion dollars through “less-than-transparent business dealings.”
