More than 130,000 tweets each minute about the new pope were recorded. . .Front pages of Brit newspapers welcomed the Argentinian Pope with headlines including references to Argentina’s soccer legend Diego Maradona and the continuing cultural differences between Britain and Argentina on the Falkland Islands dispute. The Sun: “Hand of God, Argie Pope Francis made call to reclaim Falkland Islands.” The Financial Times: “Pope with scandals comes scandal-free.” The Daily Mail went on to wonder if the new Pope would be able “to clean up this troubled church.”
Is this Pope going to do anything about the epidemic of pedophile catholic priests raping innocent children??!!

Another nasty thing to do. What happened to the Catholic Church anyway? 90% of them practice birth control, but it’s a mortal sin to practice birth control. So are 90% of all Catholics living under the pain of mortal sin?
You NEVER hear ONE priest or Bishop or Cardinal saying their parishoners cannot practice birth control, that it’s a mortal sin, because if they did, the churches would be empty on Sunday morning – no people, no collections.

life long catholic does not like to hear anything negative about the church. He thinks that if we just ignore the problem that it will go away. It is that kind of thinking that has allowed the problem to continue for so long. It must be dealt with and the guilty should be prosecuted and removed from the church.
