Sunday at 6 p.m., the Academy Awards show on ABC will feature performances by Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russel Crowe in a celebration of musicals in the last decade. A tribute to 50 years of James Bond movies will be helmed by singer Shirley Bassey (“Gold Finger”) and other numbers by Adele, Jennifer Hudson and Barbra Streisand. Who should win and who really deserves an Oscar?: Best picture – “Argo” and “Amour” deserves to win, according to Hollywood pundits. Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis for “Lincoln” and Joaquin Phoenix in “The Master” is deserving. Actress: Jennifer Lawrence for “Silver Linings Playbook.”
I’d rather watch paint dry than to watch all those egotistical jerks make asinine acceptance speeches that will make one sick to his stomach.
What’s an Oscar ? The last Oscar I knew was the shoeshine guy at the Racquet Club.
