On the same page is a long piece reporting that “restrictions on religion are rising” across the globe (as some officials in some nations limit believers from worshiping as they wish). Next to it: and ad for “Courage,” the church-sponsored and “Vatican approved” effort to help “men and women with same-sex attraction.. . .live chastely according to the teachings of the Church.”  Now, that’s a restriction!. . .Kudos to our town’s Better Business Bureau for its ink in this week’s Time magazine in the article, “12 Things You Should Stop Buying Now.”  The article focuses on auto services warranties and the BBB’s investigation of the many companies based here,. “Consumers spent an average of $2,146 on their service contracts but were stuck with a collective $2.7 million in repair bills that should have been covered,” reads the article. . .After a run of some 40 years, the Strike ‘n Spare bowling lanes on north Lindbergh Boulevard will shutter on Sept. 4.
